Our Founder’s Journey of Renewal and Reinvention

Our Founder’s Journey of Renewal and Reinvention

This isn’t just about 165 pounds lost — it’s about the weight no one could see.

I’ll be honest — I hesitated to write this one. Over the past few months, many in our mywellness.health community has asked if I’d share some before-and-after photos. Truthfully, I wasn’t sure I wanted to. Not because I’m ashamed (maybe a little introverted and shy), but because these pictures carry more than just pounds lost — they take pieces of my story I’ve never fully put into words.

So, here I am. Hesitantly obliging.

The Smile That Wasn’t the Whole Story

There’s the before photo in particular — me at the beach, drink in hand, smiling wide. My wife was still alive then. At first glance, it looks like a good day. And it was, in many ways. We were together.

But that smile? It wasn’t the whole truth. Behind it, I was carrying grief, fear, and exhaustion that no one could see. Food had become my comfort and my escape. My weight, my shield. And my smile — my mask.

That’s the thing about “before” photos: they capture a body, but they rarely capture the battles inside.

The Transformation

Fast forward to today. The man in the “after” photo — lighter, healthier, standing taller — is still a work in progress. But here’s the difference: the smile now is real.

I didn’t just lose 165+ pounds. I shed years of pain, excuses, and the quiet belief that maybe life had already passed me by. What I gained was energy, confidence, and the freedom to live authentically.

In learning to support my body in better ways, supplements became one of the tools that helped me rebuild from the inside out. A complete multivitamin gave me the baseline I’d been missing. Omega-3s supported my heart and joints as I pushed harder in the gym. Probiotics helped get my gut health back on track. And anti-inflammatory support, like turmeric, made recovery possible when the workouts piled up.

That’s why I started curating and creating the supplement line at mywellness.health — because I know firsthand what it feels like to need support, and how much of a difference the proper support can make.

What I Learned

  • A smile can hide a thousand struggles — but healing starts when you stop hiding from yourself.
  • Transformation isn’t just about pounds lost. It’s about the strength gained.
  • The weight I lost on the scale was nothing compared to the weight I lifted off my spirit.
  • Health isn’t built on one thing — it’s built on movement, mindset, nutrition, and yes, the right supplements.

Why I’m Sharing This

mywellness.health was never about chasing perfection. It was born out of real life — out of grief, out of healing, and out of the stubborn belief that reinvention is always possible.

If these photos prove anything, it’s this: it’s never too late to rewrite your story. Whether you’re carrying grief, weight, or battles no one else can see — your “after” picture is waiting, too.

And if you need a place to start? That’s why this community exists. That’s why mywellness.health exists. To give you tools, resources, and real-life inspiration to keep going — one choice, one step, one day at a time.
